About

Welcome to my site! I am currently serving as a Federal Government Documents Librarian at the Delaware State University Libraries. In this position, I am responsible for the processing, cataloging, and management of all government documents (both print and electronic) we receive as part of DSU’s participation in the Federal Depository Library Program. I am also the subject specialist for government information and statistics. My liaison responsibilities are to the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. In this capacity, I have taught 38 information literacy classes to both incoming freshman English Comp students to senior capstone history students.

Previously, I was a Government Documents Cataloger at the Penn State University Libraries’ Cataloging & Metadata Services Department. I cataloged all Commerce Department government documents. From January 2009-June 2011, I was a member (and then leader) of the Barcode Inventory Project (BIP) Team with the Penn State University Libraries’ Access Services Department. This project was an effort to catalog and inventory all bound journals located in the Libraries’ annexes, and I’m proud to say that we accomplished almost everything we set out to do.

I am a member of ALA and ACRL. I am currently serving a three-year term on the ACRL Government Documents Round Table (GODORT) Cataloging Committee. Previously, I was a member of the Pennsylvania Library Association (PaLA) and served as the chair of the Juniata-Conemaugh chapter.

I received my MLIS from the University of Pittsburgh in August 2008 and my BA from Grove City College in 2002.
